School uniform is available to order by clicking on the link here or here.

There is no requirement to wear items with the school logo – these are entirely optional. Items of clothing in our school colours can be purchased from many high street stores and supermarkets.

Our Uniform

Simonside School Uniform

  • Royal blue jumper/sweatshirt/cardigan (no hood)
  • Pale blue/white polo shirt or pale blue/ white plain cotton shirt
  • Grey or black skirt/trousers/leggings/shorts (no tracksuit bottoms)
  • Plain black, navy or grey tights
  • Plain black shoes or plain black flat boots – see guide below
    • no heels or open-toes
    • trainers must be all black with no logos showing
    • footwear must be appropriate for active use and fit properly
  • Blue checked summer dress (optional)

PE Kit

  • Royal blue/black shorts
  • Royal blue, black or grey tracksuit bottoms
  • White or pale blue polo shirt
  • Royal blue sweatshirt or school hoodie (optional for colder weather)
  • Plain black trainers or plimsolls

‘Forest School’

  • Appropriate clothing for working outdoors, suitable for the weather conditions
  • This does not need to be in school colours

Make Up / Jewellery / Hair

  • The only jewellery that children may wear are stud earrings, although these MUST be removed/taped over for PE lessons
  • Watches are allowed, however, these must NOT be smart watches for safeguarding reasons
  • Fake nails and make up are NOT permitted
  • Extreme hairstyles and/or hair dyes (e.g. ‘mohawks’ and unnatural colours) are also unacceptable. If in doubt, please contact school in advance.

The School Leadership Team reserves the right to make the final decision on the suitability of any item of clothing, hairstyle, or accessory not explicitly mentioned, ensuring that all students maintain a standard of dress consistent with the school’s professional environment.
